About Us

Photos from our grand opening in 1986
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was established in September of 1986 by Robert Grimsley with the support of family and friends in the community. Our founding mission was to offer an affordable and tailored funeral experience for grieving families. Shortly after opening, Robert partnered with Homesteaders Life to provide an option for families to plan in advance for burial and cremation services.

In 2006, responding to community needs, we added Cumberland County’s first crematory, providing another meaningful option for honoring loved ones. As demand for cremation continued to grow, the need for a more efficient crematory was evident. In 2011, we added a new crematory facility, state of the art embalming room, and fellowship hall for events.

Today, Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. continues to be family owned and operated. We remain committed to serving our community with empathy and professionalism during life’s most challenging moments.
