Lois Louise Elmore

Lois Louise Elmore, age 82, was born on October 10, 1937 in Jamestown, TN to Osville and Susie Frogge and passed away in her home on February 1, 2020. She is survived by her children- Scott Elmore (Tina) and Tim Elmore; grand children- Zack and Coty Elmore and Brandi Brink (Jake); and great grandchildren- Neveah Elmore, Bo and Ava Brink, Michael Young, and Dylan Caruthers and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Bob Elmore, and siblings- Fonzie, Joyce, WS, RJ, Myrtie, and Jule.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, from 12 to 2 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with service to follow. Burial will be in Crossville City Cemetery.

Dorothy Willene Brown

Dorothy Willene Brown, age 76, was born on May 14, 1943 in Crossville, TN to Kermit and Margie Hale Kerley and passed away in her home on January 31, 2020. She enjoyed her family, playing UNO, and going camping, especially down by the river.

She is survived by her loving husband- Ed Brown; daughters- Tonya Moseley and Tammy Stepp (Richard); grandchildren- Keith Moseley (Barbara), Chris Moseley (Trista), Ricky Stepp (Victoria), and Greg Stepp (Brittany); great grandchildren- Ethan, Evin, and Easton Moseley, Brayden and Allie Houston, Kinslee, Casidy, Maelie, and Remington Stepp, Brieanna Palmer, Kylie Pack, and Tanner Sherrill; and siblings- Harold Kerley and Winfred Ryan. She is preceded in death her parents and brother- Herthal Kerley.

The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2020, from 12 to 2 with service to follow. Steve Watts will officiate with burial in Linary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the family can be made in her name to Crossville Memorial Funeral Home.

Franklin Lee Sapp “Frank”

Funeral services for Franklin Lee Sapp, “Frank,” age 43, of Crossville, TN will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10:00 at First Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Thomas Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 5 to 7 at First Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived  by his wife, Shawn Sapp; children, Shalee Brook Sapp (Chris), Kelby Lynn Sapp (Dillon), and Ashley Ann Eppolito (Joe); grandchildren, Avery and Jakob Eppolito; and siblings, Teresa Richardson, Sherry Jackson, Lindsey Salvato, and Josh Wyatt.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nathaneal and Desdie Pryor Sapp.

Ernest Frank Jr.

Ernest Frank Jr., age 77, born on August 9, 1942 to Ernest and Hazel Anderson Frank in Yonkers, NY and passed away January 27, 2020 in Monterey, TN. He was married to his beautiful bride of 47 yrs, Leslee Frank.

Formerly of Morgan, NJ, Ernest owned/operated the family business, Ernie’s Auto Service in Morgan, NJ and  then worked for The Home Depot. He was a charter member of St. Lawrence Knights of Columbus Council 261 in Laurence Harbor, NJ.

He was very talented in many of life’s interests: a craftsman in woodworking, stained glass, metal sculpting, and even drew up the blueprints of his and Leslee’s first home. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and sewing, and he even made some award-winning Halloween costumes. Ernest never stopped learning and was always ready to lend a helping to those in need. He enjoyed his life and loved his wife and family.

Ernest was survived by his wife, Leslee Frank; children, Jennifer Frank (Bob), and Scott Frank (Arlene); grandchildren, Shanna & Darren Butler, and Evan Frank; and siblings, Sharon Frank and Charles Frank.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Ernest and Hazel V. Frank.

Jerry Wayne Haney

Jerry Wayne Haney, 59, was born on May 20, 1960 to George William Haney and Pauline Ann Bell Haney in Crossville, TN. He passed away on January 28, 2020. Jerry enjoyed being outdoors playing golf and going fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed building houses.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Sue Haney; children, Jeremy Haney (Heaven), Joshua Haney, and Johnathon Haney (Brittney); grandchildren, Hunter, Jase, Porter, Morgan, and Arlowe; brother, William “Cotton” Haney; and his father, George Haney and wife, Marlene.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Haney.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 12 to 2 at the Crab Orchard Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral services for Jerry will also be held on Friday following visitation with Marcey Brannon and Andy Ingram officiating. He will be laid to rest in Bakers Chapel Cemetery.

Sarah Elizabeth Wood

Sarah Elizabeth Wood, 72, was born on July 22, 1947 to Henry and Sarah Brewer Burdett in Spencer, TN. She passed away on January 26, 2020. Sarah loved crocheting and cooking. She was a traveling enthusiast of the Primitive Quartet who enjoyed going to church and concerts.

She is survived by her husband, Richard M. Wood; children, Kevin Wood (Kim), Robert Wood (Shelley), and Denise Baker (Michael); grandchildren, Chelsea, Taylor, Madison, Dalton, Marian, Levi, and James; brothers, Kenneth and Johnny Burdett; and sister, Bertha Mae Shockley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Bernice Gentry, Fred, Clifford, Harry, Ernest, Gene, Bessie, Bruce, Dennis, Doris Pauline and Betty Rose Burdett.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Family will also receive friends on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 12 to 2 at Lonewood Baptist Church in Spencer, TN with funeral services to follow. Bros. Roland Smith and Cecil VanWinkle will be officiating. She will be laid to rest in Akins Cemetery.

William Edward Perry “Bill”

William Edward Perry, “Bill,” age 80, was born on November 23, 1939 to Finnis and Dorothy England Perry in Scott County, TN. He passed away on January 17, 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Perry; sons, Eddie (Dawayna) Perry, Ricky (Gail) Perry, and Michael Goforth; daughters, Vickie (Bob) Weatherly, Kim (Jack) Cromers, and Samantha Pliske; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Debbie Buckner; and brother, Tony Perry.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Finnis and Dorothy Perry; brothers, Hubert and Jimmy Perry; and sisters, Druceil Henry and Sue Struck.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will also be held on Saturday following visitation with Bro. Adam Strayer officiating.

William Allen Milam

William Allen Milam, 52, was taken from us on January 15, 2020 when he was involved in a traffic accident outside Harrisonburg, VA.

William will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a kind-hearted person who always put the needs of family and friends above his own.

William was a proud patriot and US Navy veteran.

William was born July 4, 1967 in Princeton, West Virginia; a son of the late Paul Allen and Rosie Lena Milam. He lived there until he joined the U S Navy in February 1987.  After serving 4 years aboard the USS Richard Turner, he moved to Grimsley, TN where his family had relocated.

William was survived by in death by his fiancé, Myra Jackson, one son, Daniel; one daughter, Rosalie; his mother, Rosie Lena Milam; two brothers, Ishmael Milam and Timothy Joe Wright; and one sister, Tonia Wright. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral service will be held 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home in Crossville, TN with Bro. Bobby Floyd officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Ernest Ray Meadows

Ernest Ray Meadows, age 74, was born on January 2, 1946 to John and Mary (Ball) Meadows in Crossville, TN. He passed away on January 3, 2020.

He is survived by his daughters, Leisa Blaylock (Doug) and Rosana Stults (Freddie); stepchildren, Ray Young, Darlene Miller, Carol Shell, Bonnie Ford, and Tommy Meadows; brother, Roy Meadows (Faye); sister, Edna Foster; four grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hershel, Ed, and Tim Meadows; sister, Faye Kerley; and stepdaughter, Sandra Reed.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 1 – 2 at the Bread of Life Rescue Mission with the memorial service to follow. Ralph Reagan will be officiating.

Hattie Jo Shilling

Hattie Jo Shilling, age 80, was born on October 7, 1939 to Joseph and Gleadus Dodson Wilson in Sparta, TN. She passed away on January 15, 2020. Hattie loved going fishing and camping. She also enjoyed flower gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her children, Danny Smith (Joyce), Lisa Norris (Luther), and Patricia Rogers (Chris); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and sisters, Mary Brown and Betty Parsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Jones Smith; and brothers, Jack and Robert Wilson.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 6 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Hattie will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Butch Stapleton officiating. She will be laid to rest in Eastland Cemetery.
