Funeral Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, December 4th, 2022 with a Visitation in the Main Chapel from 11 AM – 1 PM and will have a funeral service at 1 PM. Family and Friends will Lay Ms. Phyllis to rest in Green Acres Memorial Gardens following the service.
David Lee Ford
David Ford, age 76, was born on December 6, 1945 to William and Martha Ford in Crossville, TN. He passed away on November 27, 2022 in Crossville, TN.
David is survived by his children Susan (Charles) Littzi, Melissa Littzi, LeeAnn Littzi, Melissa Munez, Travis Ford, and Kelly Ford; brother William (Betty) Ford; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Arli Ford and Martha Irene (Lee) Ford; and sons-in-law David Littzi and Dominick Littzi.
Services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm with the service to follow at 1pm, Ralph Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Turner Cemetery immediately following the service.
Willie Mae Davis
Willie Davis, age 76, was born on April 15, 1946 to Carlos and Ocia Haney in Crab Orchard, TN. She passed away on November 27, 2022 at her home in Crossville, TN.
She is survived by her daughter Jessie Rhodes; grandsons Carlos (Laura) Pruitt, Dakota (Ashley) Pruitt, and Darvin (Chelsea) Lopez; 9 great grandchildren; step daughter Lois Cross; 14 step grandchildren; and 14 step great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Ocia (Ingram) Haney; daughter Nora Lozada; brother George Haney; and brother-in-law Gene Elmore.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm with the service to follow at 1pm, Danny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Haley’s Grove Cemetery immediately following the service.
Judith Gail Nagdeman
Judith “Judy” Gail Caruthers Carter Nagdeman passed away in Crossville on November 25, 2022 at the age of 80. She was born in Pleasant Hill, TN on January 1, 1942 to Venus Caruthers and Virginia Walker Caruthers.
Mrs. Nagdeman grew up in Crossville and then attended George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, TN where she obtained a Master’s Degree. She was a beloved educator with over 40 years of teaching experience with the Tennessee School System. In addition to teaching, she was a loving mother, wife, and active church member of The First United Methodist Church of Crossville. In her later years, she devoted much of her time to the Stephen Ministries Christian Organization.
Mrs. Nagdeman is preceded in death by her parents, Venus Caruthers and Virginia Walker Caruthers Bowman, husband Don Paul Carter and husband Irving Nagdeman.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Sarah Carter of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Amelia Carter Henderson of Hackensack, New Jersey. In addition, Mrs. Nagdeman is survived by many close cousins in and around the Crossville area.
Services for Mrs. Nagdeman will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 4-6 pm and funeral immediately following at 6 pm.
Pamela Sue Holton
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Pamela Sue Holton was born in Jacksonville, Florida on May 17, 1956 and gained her wings to heaven on November 24, 2022, at her home in Crossville, Tennessee. Pam was the daughter of Stanton and Marie Wright and grew up with one sister, Lisa Ricketts.
In 1975, she married Robert Holton, the love of her life. They had two children, Tori and Josh Holton. After Robert’s passing in 1989, Pam and the children moved to Crossville. She worked for Cumberland County Schools for many years. Pam dedicated her life to helping students with disabilities and their families. She was loved by many co-workers, students, and families throughout the years.
Everyone that knew Pam felt special and loved. She had a way of making everyone know how important they were. She would do anything for anyone and was a selfless human being. She was loved by many friends and family.
Pam lovingly referred to herself as “Mamaw” and was the Mamaw to her five grandchildren: Ali Holton, Preston Carr, Makayla Carr, Paytyn Carr, and Madison Holton. She welcomed Ernie Carr, Michael Brown, and Marlene Holton as her other children. Her life revolved around her family. She will truly be missed.
A “Celebration of Life and Memorial Service” will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 6 PM, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 6 PM. Family and Friends are invited to come and share fond memories and special stories.
Sherry Christine Ferguson
Sherry Ferguson, age 70, was born on October 16, 1952 to Charles and Gloria Sandlin in Toledo, OH. She passed away on November 19, 2022 at her home in Crossville, TN.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home at 10:00am. Burial to follow in Crossville City Cemetery.
Laurence Malcolm Smith, Jr.
Laurence M. Smith, Jr. passed peacefully on November 19, 2022. He was born to Laurence (Mike) Smith and Evelyn Smith on June 26, 1941 in Detroit, MI.
He is survived by his wife Emma (Ruth) Smith; children Debbie (Joe) Vollmer, Rhonda (Marcos) Ramos, and Laurence M. (Heidi) Smith, III; sister Patricia Lazlo; daughter-in-law Karen McGee Defer; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Laurence (Mike) and Evelyn (Beauregard) Smith; son Charles Hurley; and grandson Daniel Hurley.
A Memorial service will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Visitation will be from 12-2pm with the service at 2pm; Joey Smith officiating.
Cynthia Joyce (Sherrill) Demaria
Cynthia Demaria, age 54, was born on January 4, 1968 to Frank and Carol Sherrill in Crossville, TN. She passed away on November 20, 2022 in Crossville, TN.
She is survived by her mother Carol (Netherton) Sherrill; children Chris Sherrill, Daniele Hunter, and Joshua Hunter; brothers Greg Sherrill of Crosville, Tim Sherrill of Crossville, and Tony Sherrill of Appling, GA; and sister Delores Ketchum of Crossville.
She was preceded in death by her father Frank Sherrill and her infant Angel Hunter.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Pomona Freewill Gospel. Visitation will be at 11:00am with the service to follow at 12:00pm; David Morgan officiating.
Dwayne Lynn Davis, Jr.
Dwayne Lynn Davis, Jr. died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the age of 30. He was a Cumberland County resident his entire life. He is survived by his wife, Amy Long Davis of Higdon, Alabama and their two children Paisley Grace (2) and Michael Carson (6 mos.); his mother Kelly (Stan) Tabor; father Dwayne (Amy) Davis; siblings Kara Davis, Briley Davis, Renee Barnum, and Austin Tabor; grandparents Kenneth and Rita Martin, Tony and Anita Davis, and grandmother Charlotte Tabor; in-laws Troy and Beth Cloud; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dwayne loved spending time with his children and family. He graduated from TCAT (TN College of Applied Technology) in 2013 with a certificate in Industrial Electricity/Maintenance. He worked in maintenance for the Cumberland County Board of Education as well as the Cumberland County Community Complex and more recently did HVAC work in Sparta. He also had his own lawn care business that he enjoyed immensely. He worked and volunteered countless hours for the Cumberland County Rescue Squad and worked at Centennial Park where he grilled burgers and did lots of other jobs to help out. He had a big heart for his family and friends and will be terribly missed.
Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Visitation will be from 9am-12pm with the service to follow at 12pm, Danny Smith and Thom Hassler. Burial will be in Houston Buzzard Roost Cemetery immediately following the service.

Chandos Clayton Smith Jr
Chandos Smith, Jr., age 92, was born on August 7, 1930 to Chandos and Edna Smith in Knoxville, IA. He passed away on November 18, 2022 in Fairfield Glade, TN.
He is survived by his wife Norma Smith; daughters Jennifer Boughey and Julie (Mitch) Leland; grandchildren Hannah Pahner, Heather Campbell, and Heidi Holm.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chandos Clayton Smith, Sr and Edna (Bane) Smith; and his sister Cheryl Stansell.
A Memorial service will be held at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 1:00pm.
