Robert Matthews, age 72, was born to Thomas Everette and Ida Pearl Ashburn Matthews on July 12, 1940 in Clarkrange, TN and died September 3, 2012 in Cookeville, TN. He was an electronic engineer with 15 years of schooling from High School, Tech School, and on the job training schools.
He was survived by wife- Ingeli Louise Matthews; son- Jeffrey Thomas Matthews and two grand children; step children- Steven Richard Schweizer, Penny Ellen Werth, Bonnie Ann Schneider, with step grand children- Leslie Ann Boswell, Scott Schweizer, Ingrid Mary Schneider, Stephanie Fawn Schneider, and Christine Alicia Werth; five great grandchildren; brothers- Charles Matthews and William Ronald Matthews; sisters Dortha Rosetta (Pat) Becker, and Betty Jean Fassett.
He was preceded in death by his parents- Everette and Ida Matthews.
His memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Crossville, TN
