Emmett Raymond Hubbard, 83, of Crossville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. He was born on July 23, 1941, in Crossville, TN, to the late Clifton and Nora Hubbard.

Emmett was a humble and devoted man who spent most of his life working at the Fairfield Glade Engineering Department and in a family-owned sawmill to support his family. He was a loving husband, an extraordinary father, a cherished grandfather, and a dear friend to many. He was deeply loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Nora Hubbard; his brother, Alva Hubbard; and sons-in-law, John Phipps and Merle Croney.

Emmett is survived by his wife, Clara Hubbard; his daughters, Carol Croney, Norma Phipps, and Patricia Cantrell and her husband, Donald Cantrell; his granddaughters, Destiny Phipps and Mandi Higgins and her husband, John Higgins; his grandson, Collin Phipps; and great grandchildren, Jordan Olson, John Phipps, Kayden Hicks, Alycia Forpahl, Ethan Phipps, Kyle Phipps, Grayson Phipps, Payton Phipps, and Keane Higgins. He is also survived by his sisters, Eula Parham and her husband, Tom Parham, June Webb and her husband, Jessie Hyder; and his brothers, Edward Hubbard and his wife, Glenda Hubbard, and Ronald Hubbard.

Services were rendered by Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was laid to rest in Tollett’s Chapel Cemetery.
