Agnes Woodall Miller, 76, of Clarkrange, Tennessee, passed away on December 14, 2024, at Wyndridge Memory Care Facility in Crossville, Tennessee.
Born on June 30, 1948, to the late Louis Atwell and Elizabeth (Bedwell) Atwell, Agnes grew up near Still Pond, Maryland. Her family later moved to Harford County, MD where she graduated from Edgewood High School in 1967. After high school, she began working for the Telephone Company. In February 1968, she married Jay Miller, and the couple moved to Wisconsin. In 2019, they settled in Clarkrange, Tennessee.
Agnes had a passion for cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met. Agnes was also fun-loving and could always be counted on to have a good time wherever she went. Her infectious laugh brightened every room and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Stanley; her brother, Joseph Atwell; her stepfather Edward Thomas II and stepbrother, Eddie Thomas
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 56 years, Jay Miller; her two children, Jerry L. Miller (wife Tracy) of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, and Timothy B. Miller (wife Kelly) of Vonore, Tennessee; four cherished grandchildren; seven adored great-grandchildren; and her sister, Nancy Barlow, of Delta, Pennsylvania.
Throughout her career, Agnes brought the same kindness and enthusiasm she shared with her loved ones. She worked at the Wicks + Sticks candle shop and later at U.S. Bank, where she retired. Her dedication and warmth touched colleagues and customers alike.
Agnes’ legacy of love, laughter, and light will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She touched so many lives with her caring nature, and her memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of food, treats, and blankets to your local animal shelter in honor of Agnes’ love for animals and her generous spirit.
