Thomas Hickey, age 83, was born on June 14, 1929 in Saginaw, MI and died at home in Crossville, TN. He made a career out of serving his country and retired from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel Signal Corps. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors degree in Communications. He joined the Army upon graduation from MSU. In the military, his overseas assignment included Germany, Quemoy Island and Vietnam. He took pride in his Irish heritage and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was deeply loved by his children, grandchildren and wife of sixty-one years.

He is survived by his wife- Kathleen Hickey; sons- Christopher Hickey and LiChing and Jeffrey Hickey and Jodie; daughters- Jennifer Hollman and Allan and Stephanie Lilly and Christopher; a brother- James Hickey; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents- James and Esther Stoltz Hickey; brother- Donald and sister- Betty.
