Charlotte was always my beautiful sister inside and outside. She was the oldest of 4 and while I was the baby (10 years younger)she always watched out for us. She had a mother’s instinct and wanted to help everyone. I think of Proverbs chapter 31 which describes my sister to a tee. She learned about being a great woman, wife, mother, sister and friend from our mom, Renate.
When our mom almost died, Charlotte had to take over the duties to care for us. She cooked, loved, comforted us and drove us where we needed to go. She loved to do crafts, draw, cook, and talking to everyone making them feel special and important. This was essential in her career as a Special Needs Behavioral Interventionist. While we were separated by almost 1,000 miles we talked everyday that she could. I am thankful for times I came up to help Dave with caregiving and taking her to her appointments. This may sound crazy but I loved washing her feet because it made her feel good. She had an amazing smile. I love you sissy. Barbara
