It’s said that if you are lucky enough to have 5true friends in your life time, you fortunate. I be been fortunate for sure. Roy was like a brother to me. We talked almost everyday and when we were together up on the mountain it was like two middle school kids laughing and having fun. Roy was a rock man through and through. I dare say there is no one, who had his knowledge in the business. He was also one of the prettiest men in the world. All you had to do was ask him. He made me laugh. His gusto for life was something to behold. Roy was true to himself and all those that knew him. I’ve caught myself. Calling him only to realize we won’t speak again until we see each other again someday in Heaven.
Roy will be missed by many. He left his mark in this world and the mark will be steadfast for the rest of our lives. I loved Roy Potter and will miss him greatly. I’m unable to attend the memorial service, but I’m there in spirit.
Dear Roy,
I wish I had told you how much I appreciate you. We had several
deep talks about our childhoods as we had been through many of the same
things in our younger years. I lost a brother before I was born but I believe God
sent you in his place to make up for it. I’m grateful for the years we’ve been
friends and pray that you found the peace you deserve after the life you’ve
lived. Thank you for everything you taught me about the rock business.
You will be missed and will always be My Friend.
