Alisa Cook, age 60, was born on July 1, 1962 to Odes and Janelle Cook in Jamestown, TN. She passed away from a brain tumor on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving husband, Kenny Hamby, her wonderful parents, and her little sweet furbaby Sophi, whom she loved so dearly!
Alisa is survived by her parents; her husband; double first cousins Jennifer Walker, Beverly Atkinson, Edwina Cook, and Kevin Cook; aunts Peggy Cook, Breneda Livingston, Sharon Davis, Gail Threet, Sandra Culp, Julie Copeland, Ethel Ramsey, Joyce Atkinson, and Reba Inman; uncles Darrell Baldwin, Tommy Baldwin, Neil Baldwin, Joe Inman and special uncle Bud Todd; her cousins Lee Baltimore, Ricky Cook, and special cousin Karen Emmert; her extra special cousin Eddie Cook, whom she called her 2nd hero, her daddy being her first; special best friends Juanita Stone and Missy York; and a host of other special cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beautiful sister Angel; grandparents Loma & Clifford Baldwin and Walter & Edna Cook; uncles Bobby Baldwin, Gregory Baldwin, and more aunts and uncles too numerous to mention.
Alisa loved to sew dog clothes, with which she made so beautifully. She also loved being a bus driver and being able to take the kids on trips. But most of all, she loved the beach and camping, and boating was her happy place.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11a-1p with the service to follow at 1pm, Danny Smith and Lonnie Cook officiating. Burial will be in Springs Chapel Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu if flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Much love and hugs to her family. This breaks my heart.
