Joseph William Dombrowski "Mr. Fix it" Age 73 Passed to eternal life on July 12, 2022 due to a brain aneurysm. Joe was born May 5, 1949 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Anthony Joseph Dombrowski and Catherine Helen Rieger. Beloved husband and best buddy of Kathryn (Katie) Dombrowski. Loving father of Christina Marie Dombrowski and Christopher Joseph (Kayla) Dombrowski. Loving stepfather of Christopher James White and Jonathan Andrew White. Brother of Dennis Rieger, Robert Stanley Dombrowski, George Peter Dombrowski, Anthony Joseph Dombrowski, Stanley Robert Dombrowski, Patrick Joseph Dombrowski, Helen Victoria Sizemore, Maryann Kelley. Joe loves our Lord Jesus Christ and loved telling others about His Grace and Mercy, warning of God's Judgement for sin and the need for individual repentance from sin and turning to God through our Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV) "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" Joe especially loved children and teaching them whether as a soccer coach, school chaperone (trusted and requested by teachers and parents and loved by the children), Pick up baseball games, ... Mostly he loved teaching and discipling people about our Lord Jesus Christ and teaching the Word of God with compassion and understanding. He taught Bible Studies at the Fairlane Club, Boys and Girls Bible Clubs (after school Public schools), Vacation Bible School, Ford Motor Company, several churches, and anywhere people invited him.... Homes, parks, etc. He was a faithful witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at his work having goodies for people to snack on and Gospel tracts and scripture verses. He witnessed on vacation, in the market place, the Arab festival, and everywhere he went. Joe faithfully served our country as a Marine in the front lines of the Vietnam war (July 1967 through December 1968). He survived being blown up by a mortar by God's Grace. He was the point man on patrol and was with the teams in the villages protecting people from the enemy. He was diligent about having his weapons clean and ready. Joe worked at a gas station during highschool before and after Vietnam. When he returned from Vietnam, Joe finished highschool and continued working on servicing and fixing vehicles. He worked at a Ford dealership in the service area. He heard that Ford Motor engineering was looking for people who could fix vehicles and Joe applied for work there. The manager sent Joe out of town where there were broken vehicles that the engineers couldn't fix and the manager said that if Joe could fix the vehicles that he had a job. Joe fixed the vehicles and worked at Ford for 37 years.. Fixing and testing vehicles, doing the budgets, and witnessing for our Lord Jesus Christ (after he was saved by His Grace in 1996). Joe went to business school at night earning an associate business degree and being just shy of graduating with a bachelor's degree (with high GPA). He put his education on hold when we were married in 1998 to take care of our then four children, which we took on our honeymoon to Colorado Springs. We took our children to a family Bible Study and learned God's Word together and how to study the Bible.. "line upon line"(Isaiah 28) Joe will be sorely missed by his family and friends. But we know that we will see Joe again, worshipping God, at the feet of our Lord Jesus, if we Believe on Jesus. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Joe fought a good fight. Joe finished his course. Joe kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for Joe a "Crown of Righteousness", Which the Lord, the righteous Judge, Shall give to Joe at that day: and not to Joe only, But unto ALL them that love His (the Lord Jesus Christ) Appearing. A beloved man of God and with his wife stood with me and others preaching openly and without shame the gospel of the grace of God.
His military training was used by the Lord to fight the true battle for the souls of men, a soldier of the cross, who understood what the church of Jesus Christ lacks- COURAGE!
He is now in a MUCH better place with Jesus Christ and the saints of God worshipping the Lord of Glory! Cannot wait to join him when my work on earth is done!
How saddened to hear of Brother Joe passing unto glory, but yet rejoicing that he is now with the one “who loved us and gave himself for us”! After speaking to him about three weeks ago, rejoicing and encouraging each other in biblical truth, he will now wait for me to come see him and the saints of God as we “rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” in our great God and our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
I have ALWAYS remembered my beloved Brother in Jesus Christ as abounding in the work of the Lord and had been a faithful brother and servant while on earth, but rejoicing now that he is home with the Lord and with all the saints in glory!
While he lived in Michigan, I have had the opportunity to “go into the world and preach the gospel” with Brother Joe, he being always mindful to “preach the truth in love” and to minister with his wife unto all that would take a tract and have ears to hear “the gospel of grace of God”. He always was fervent in his witness, knowing that the terror of the Lord against men’s souls toward those who refuse “to repent an believe the gospel” by taking heed that Jesus Christ died for their sins according to the scriptures.
What a soldier of the cross, and a great brother in Christ who truly understood the importance of holy living and proving it by his life “Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ”.
And my final remembrance of him is one of my personal biblical “life” verse, while adding the final reality of truth of Joe who “has fought a good fight, has finished his course, has kept the faith” and “Henceforth there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give him at that day”.
Act 20:24-25 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
Beloved Brother in Christ, fellow labourer and solider of the Lord Jesus Christ,
George Calvas, an Evangelist.
I worked with Joe on several occasions at Ford Motor Co. I was blessed by him when he suggested to management that I take his job when he retired. He was a good and honest man, one should model themselves after Joe. He had hard times and god always prevailed for him and his children. I will miss him dearly.
Thank you Joe.
