Darwin “Dar” Beaty

Darwin “Dar” Beaty, born December 23, 1938 to John L and Amy Beaty, passed away on July 2, 2022.

He was married to his beautiful bride Doris Beaty for 60 years. He had a love of farming and spending time with family and friends. At any given time, you could find him in the garage, the garden or on his porch swing. Known best in the truck pulling community for his engine building, Dar had a vast knowledge of all thing’s engines. He enjoyed building them for his son, grandson’s and a few close friends. Dar was always looking after everyone else before he thought of himself. In a room full of people, everyone gravitated towards him. He loved telling stories of being in the army, his younger years with his brothers, dirt racing with his son, truck pulling, stories including his wife, granddaughters and grandsons, hunting, and his prized cabbage and watermelon plants.

Dar was proceeded in death by his father and mother (John L and Amy Beaty), sister Brenda Wyatt, and his loving wife Doris Beaty.

He is survived by his son Wade (Sheila) Beaty, granddaughter Ashley Lawson (Jeff Marshall), grandson Cody (Katherine) Beaty, great granddaughter Hailey Lawson, great grandson Bryson Lawson, 3 brothers Ed, Gene and Gentry Beaty, and 2 sisters Danette and Glenda all of Crossville, Tn.

Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 5-8pm. The Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10am. Burial will be in Fredonia Cemetery immediately following the service.
