Lynn A. Walsh – October 27, 1933 – May 5, 2012
Lynn A. Walsh, 78, a long time resident of Monticello, NY and Fairfield Glade, TN died after a heroic and courageous battle with lung cancer in her home in Fairfield Glade, TN on May 5, 2012. Mrs. Walsh was born in Long Island City on October 27, 1933, the daughter of George L. Joseph and Helen A. Bevacqua Moebius. She attended Concord State Teachers College and was a long time office Manager for Martin Cowan, MD in Monticello, NY retiring in September 1989. After retirement she and her soul mate enjoyed extensive travel. Along the way she touched many people and those she met loved her.
Survivors include three daughters and their spouses, Kathleen & Tracy Bryant, of Holden, MO, Beth & Jeffrey Goldstein of Monticello, NY, Eileen & Joe Kolaitis of Wurtsboro, NY; two sons and their spouses, Robert Walsh & Constance Shean of Scranton, PA and Christopher & Isabelle Walsh of White Plains, NY; a brother George Joseph and his wife Eleanor; a sister MaryAnn Simmons and her husband Bill; three sisters of the heart: Patricia Brooks, Bette Baxter, & Martha Williams; sixteen grand children, Bobby, Jessica, Sean, Bronwyn, Sara & her husband Vinny, Jared, Maeve, Malorie, Shoshana, Trevor, Jimmy, Meghan, Zachary, Ian, Quinn, and Fiona.
She is predeceased by her most beloved husband Robert and her parents.
Memorial service to be held on Wednesday May 9, 2012 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi, Fairfield Glade. Contributions in the name of Lynn A. Walsh may be made to Hospice of Cumberland County.
