Amy (Wilson) Bolin, 82, passed peacefully on May 19, 2022, after a fall at her home in Elyria on May 17th. Amy was surrounded by family as this sudden ending shook us to our cores. To everyone Amy met, nurturing and comforting in her unique southern style, she made an impression that was hard to forget.
Amy was born in Crossville, TN; married husband Owen; and moved to Lorain County in 1959, where she raised her family.
Amy worked at Elyria Manufacturing for thirty-seven years. Her passions for cooking, sewing, gardening, and thrift shopping were always shared with the next visitors she entertained. Her southern roots were forever set deep and will remain there as she rests on the hillside she was raised on, alongside her husband, Owen Q. Bolin, who has been waiting for her reunion since 2014.
Sharing and caring were Amy’s routine. Her children, and especially her grandchildren, and great granddaughter got excellent guidance on living the good life and knowing right from wrong.
Amy is preceded in death by husband Owen Q. Bolin; parents Roy and Ollie (Lewis) Wilson; siblings Elbert Wilson, Eleanor (Wilson) Benton, and Uldean (Wilson) Stone.
Surviving Amy are daughter Jane Baker (Daryl); sons Roy D. Bolin, David “Andy” Bolin (Lynn); grandchildren Rachel Baker (Alex Friedman), Amy C. Bolin, and Dalton Bolin; and great granddaughter Eden Bolin; siblings Mary (Ben) Tabor, Paul (Mary) Wilson, Ronnie (Kathy) Wilson, Danny (Theresa) Wilson, Jerry (Paula) Wilson, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home — 2653 North Main Street, Crossville, Tennessee. Visitation will take place Friday, May 27, 2022 from 5:00 until 8:00pm. The service will be observed on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 1:00pm with the burial to follow in Thomas Springs Cemetery in Crossville.
