Raymond Cole, 83, of Crossville, TN, passed away on May 4, 2012.  His family received friends on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Crossville Memorial.  Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Pastors Mark Hall and Gary Robbins officiating.  Burial was in the Green Acres Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers include his grandsons, Andy, Mark, David, Daniel, Will, Little Art, Lester II, and Lester III. Zachary Clouse was an honorary pallbearer.

Raymond was born on December 10, 1928 in Claiborne County, TN to Ambrose and Emma Carey Cole.  He worked as a farmer for most of his life and was a jack of all trades.  He liked cars particularly ratrods and stockcars, the latter of which he raced at the dirt track for many years.

He is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Wilkie Cole, sons,  Danny Cole and wife Janice, Roger Cole and wife Teresa, Lester Cole Sr. and wife Mary, and Darryl Cole Sr. and wife Dixie, daughters, Linda Woody and husband Art Sr. and Tammy Clark and husband Robert Jr., twenty four grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, brothers, Denver Cole and wife Gail, and Troy Cole and wife Bonnie, and sisters, Oma Eldridge and husband John, Florene Cole, and Pearl Benson.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Emma Cole, brothers, Freeman and Elwood Cole, and sisters, Geneva Cole and Tracy Griffith.
