Lillian Freytag, age 99, was born on August 22, 1922 in Kentucky and passed away February 16, 2022 in Cumberland County Tennessee.

She retired from Bell South in Orlando, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bill and Minnie Pearl Wise Newby; brother Joseph Bill Newby; and her husband of 54 years, John David “J.D.” Freytag.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Newby, of Danville, KY; her daughter, Jo Nell Freytag Davis and husband Edward; granddaughter Laura Scott; grandson John Russell “Rusty” Scott and wife Shelly; great granddaughters, Andrea Turk and fiancé Russell Lombardi, Samantha Perkins and husband Tim; and great great grandson Peyton Perkins.
