Bernice Naomi Wood, age 101, was born on September 6, 1920 to Virgil and Florence Mae Hale Hubbard in Crossville, TN and passed away in Dickson, TN on December 29, 2021.

She is survived by her children- Carol Batesole and Sue Lampley, grandchildren- Kevin Bolin (Tracy), Robin Stewart (Mac), Stephanie Tompson (Cory), Jennifer King (Michael), and Jessica McCaleb (Chad); Great grandchildren- Chelsea McCarty (Nic), Blake Stewart (Erin), Lauren and Ashley Bolin, Avery Tompson (Audrey), Coleman Tompson (Brooke), Dalton and Wade King, and Brandon and Bailey McCaleb; great great grandchildren- Paisley, Bailey, and Cash McCarty; and sister Lena Hubbard of Akron, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband- Aaron Wood, siblings- Eli, Thomas, Robert and Howard Hubbard and Beatrice Gentry; and daughter- Vera Denise Cross.

The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 from 4 to 7. Her funeral will be on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Crossville at 11:00 officiated by Pastor Clyde Schultz with burial to follow in Big Lick Cemetery.
