JoAnn Lawson Brewer

December 1, 1959 – October 24, 2021

JoAnn Lawson Brewer, 61, of Crossville, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 24, 2021. She was born December 1, 1959 to the late Willard and Ruby Lee Blaylock Lawson.

She was of the Baptist faith and knew she would be in the safe arms of Jesus to never suffer pain anymore. She was a loving, unselfish, caring, most precious and sweet wife, mother, nana, and sister. Heaven will never gain a sweeter woman than her. She was a fighter who fought a courageous battle of cancer for 3 years, but never lost the will to live for her family. She was a homemaker and caretaker all of her life whom loved and adored being able to take care of her family and make sure we were all taken care of over herself. She loved her children more than life itself and adored by her one and only granddaughter, she called her Dollbaby. She loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens, canning her vegetables, anything outside to make her yard and gardens beautiful. She also loved spending time with her family, watching homesteader videos, and word puzzles. Gone from us to soon, but never forgotten. You are so loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Brewer; her pride and joy, 2 children; daughter LeeAnn and husband Shawn Wyatt; son Adam Brewer and his girlfriend Tabatha; one granddaughter, Kristen Wyatt; all of Crossville. Her brothers, Hubert Lawson of Wabeno, WI and Ricky Lawson (Gladys) of Crossville, TN; sisters, Bonnie Brewer and Becky Fields of Crossville; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard & Ruby Lawson; Grandparents, Gather & Mary Lawson and Joseph & Mary Blaylock; 6 brothers, Arnold, James, Buford, Billy, Willard V, and Wayne Lawson; 1 sister, Mildred Angel.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 5pm to 8pm at Vandever Baptist Church. The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 1pm at Vandever Baptist Church with Brother Gary Hargis officiating. Burial will be in the Thomas Springs Cemetery immediately following the service.
