Mamie Jeanette Hale, 72, of Crossville, TN, passed away on April 10, 2012.  Her family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a memorial service following at 8:00 PM.  Brother Tony Holt will officiate the service.

Mamie was born on April 9, 1940, in Crossville, TN, to Vance and Lillie Sherrill.  She worked as a seamstress.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Hale and wife Linda, of Chattanooga, and Scott Hale of Crossville, daughters, Donna Gentry of Crossville and Debra Holt of Murfreesboro, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brothers, Vance Jr., Wayman, and David Sherrill, all of Crossville, sisters, Martha Reagan, Elizabeth Manning, Margaret Hayward, and Mary Lou Rector of Crossville, and Muriel Vanetta of Antioch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurlie Hale Jr., and parents, Vance and Lillie Sherrill.
