Charlotte Ann (Ashburn) Adams of Crossville, Tennessee entered Heavens gates with Thanksgiving on November 26, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a brave warrior and fought hard against this disease with all her might!
Charlotte was born in Dayton, Ohio to Effie and Arthur Mae Ashburn on October 5, 1951. She was the second youngest of 7 children. She was raised in Crossville, Tennessee where she attended Cumberland County High School and played basketball there. IN the 80’s, she made the move to Texas and spent many years there. She returned to Tennessee later in life and lived out her remaining days there with family. She was caring and had a huge heart to love her family and many friends that crossed her path. Any time you were in her presence, she had a way of making you feel special and really listened and took the time to get to know people. She often would tell her daughters stories of the friends she made and how they touched her life. So, if you are a friend to her then please know how much she treasured each of you!! We wish to celebrate her life this coming spring, where we can celebrate her outside where she loved to be.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Ashburn of Crossville, Tennessee; her 3 daughters, Melissa Ann Keith (Scott) of Knoxville, TN, Tanya Denice Maddux (Kurt) of Conroe, TX, and Jennifer Charlotte Tuttle (Adam) of Crossville, TN. She is blessed with 7 amazing grandsons and 3 bonus granddaughters of whom she is a proud Mamaw: Hunter Brown, Gentry Brown (Holly), Colin Brown, Jace Holt, Adam Barringer, Matthew Maddux, Sydney Maddux, Abigail Tuttle, Addison Tuttle, and Payton Tuttle; and her most beloved great grandson, Easton Ray Brown. She also loved her caretakers and cherished their loyal friendships and compassion. Her daughters are so grateful to all those that cared for our Mom during her life and at the end of her illness. Your love and kindness will always be remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Effie and Arthur Mae Ashburn; sisters, Linda Gail Ashburn and Julienne Ashburn; her brothers, Jerry Ashburn, Bobby Ashburn, and Roger Ashburn; and special friend, David Rhodes.
