Helyne Dawson, age 71, was born on January 29, 1941 in Louisiana, Missouri and died March 28, 2012 at her home in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee. She was a Contracting Officer for the federal government in the USDA Division. When she wasn’t at work, she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed carpentry, playing computer games, crocheting and sewing.

Helyne is survived by her husband, John Dawson; daughter, Tracy Schwencke and husband Dennis; grandchildren, James Findley and Kristin, Devon Schwencke, and Jacob McGonigle and Savannah; four great-grandchildren, Leigha, Blake, Haden,and Sophia. She has two brothers, Buss Charlton from Illinois and Ronnie Charlton from Iowa and a sister, Shirley Worst and Bill from Illinois with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Stamp and a sister-in-law, Judy Charlton.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 5 to 8 pm. Meet at the funeral home at 3:30 on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 to participate in the procession to Gardenview Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, where there will be a graveside service. Helyne says to “Remember me with a smile”.
