Ava Lee Neal, 84, passed away on March 29, 2012 at Life Care Center.  Her family will receive friends on Sunday, April 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with the funeral following at 3:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home.  Joseph Neal will officiate the service.  Pallbearers include Carlie Hedgecoth, Clarence Hedgecoth, Don Hassler, Tom Hassler, Richard Webb, Ronnie Webb, and Kevin Whitson.

Ava was born on June 12, 1927 to Joe and Anna Viola Hedgecoth in Cumberland County.  She was a member of the West Avenue Church of Christ, a lifetime member of the Cumberland County VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and a past member of the Cumberland County Elks as well as a retired business owner.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Neal and wife Gladys Neal, one grandson, three great grand daughters, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Neal, son, Edward Neal, brothers, Charlie, Nathan, Dale, and Garland Hedgecoth, sisters, Martha Webb and Stella Brown, and parents, Joe and Anna Viola Hedgecoth.
