Sophia B. Crane, 84, of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away March 29, 2012.  She is preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Crane.

A time of remembrance will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Crossville, TN on April 14, 2012 at 12:00 PM and the family will receive friends at 11:00.

Born and raised in Parkman, Ohio, Sophia graduated Valedictorian of her high school class and then attended the 3 year diploma program at Cleveland City Hospital where she graduated a trained Registered Nurse.  Her career spanned 26 years with 22 years spent at Dover General Hospital in Dover, N.J.

In her lifetime of caring for others, Sophia and her husband raised 7 children creating many cherished family traditions.  An intuitive person, she was always there for family and friends.

Her love of travel took her around the world on several dream trips with her husband.  When at home, she loved flowers, playing bridge or pinochle, and family games.  She enjoyed challenges and loved the medical profession.

Sophia is survived by 7 children and their spouses, 9 grandchildren, and one great grandson.
