Robert F. Tiller Sr., 77, of the Lake Tansi community, passed away on March 11, 2012. His family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 12:00 to 2:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Minister David Dalton officiating. Burial will be in the Lantana Community Cemetery. Pallbearers include Doug Tiller, Mike Tiller, Jeff Tiller, Terry Moore, Bob Tiller, and Roger Tiller.
Robert was born on December 29, 1934, in Bloomfield, Missouri, to Roger and Vernie Tiller. He retired from Rochester Products (Diesel) after 37 years of employment. He was member of the Lantana Church of Christ. He loved his woodworking, enjoyed mowing his lawn and target shooting and was a past member of the Fairfield Glade Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cheryl Ross Tiller, daughter, Karen Tiller of Grand Rapids, MI, sons, Robert Tiller Jr. (Vivian) of Detroit, MI, Michael Tiller (Ingrid) of Arden,NC, Jeffrey Tiller (Lisa) of Flat Rock,NC, and Douglas Tiller (Mary) of Wyoming, MI, step children, Sherri Zimlich (John) of Louisville, KY, Terry Moore of Crossville,TN, and Jacqueline Sohlin (Neil) of Troy, MI, fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brothers, Charles Tiller (Marge), Delbert Tiller (Linda), and Roger Tiller (Sandra), all of Michigan, and sisters, Audrey Neece (John), and Sandra Sibson (John), both of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Vernie Tiller.
Sorry we can’t be there with you this week in person, but know we are with you in spirit and holding you in the circle of prayer and love. We’ll miss you Uncle Bob. Give Grandma and Grandpa a big hug for us, till we meet again.
