Hubert Ray Brown of Crossville TN, age 72, passed away on March 7, 2020, leaving behind a loving family and numerous friends.
Hubert had many interests. He had the ability to mechanically build and fix things, and was an expert at wheeling and dealing. He enjoyed racing and drag racing (whether it was on TV, in the bleachers, or in the driver’s seat himself) he had fun. Not only did he love racing cars, but he also enjoyed motorcycle riding and in his younger years, rode all around Florida. The outdoors even reeled him into some relaxing times by fishing out on the water and by spending time with his animals. Hubert’s dogs were his pride and joy. Literally, this man’s best friends. Mr. Brown was a Veteran of six years in the United States Army. He was a Private and served in the Vietnam War, earning him three metals along with the Sharpshooter Rifle Badge and the Combat Infantry Badge, this badge is only given to those who were actually in combat, on foot, in the jungle. He was always willing to help those in need.
Hubert was survived by: Daughters; Angie (Gary) Smith, Barbara (Zach) Burchfield, and Janet Dawkins, Son; Scott (Ivy) Brown, Grandchildren; Levi, Alesha, Meagan, Nathan, Madison, Isaac, and Abi and four Great Grandchildren, Brothers; Earl (Judy) Brown, Paul (Judy) Smith, Sisters; Reba Hood, Loretta (George) Gibbons, and Genese (Dale) Baker.
