Norma Bruce, 71, of Crossville passed away March 9, 2012 at Hilltoppers Women’s Group Home where she lived for 25 years. Norma was born January 5, 1941 here in Cumberland County. She was the daughter of Bill and Kitty (Harris) Bruce. Norma has one sister, Verna Hale, and one brother, Wilker Bruce, who both live in Crossville. She was preceded in death by sisters- Minnie Bruce, Martha Sherrill, Nellie Hinch, Pearl Franks, and Bessie Pendergrass and by brothers- Joe Bruce, AC Bruce and Alfred Bruce. Norma has many nieces and nephews. Her niece, Sue York, lives here in Cumberland County.

Her second family was all the Hilltoppers, men and women, for 25 years.

Norma never saw a stranger, she had a great memory for people and she loved to go fishing and dancing.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Cumberland County and Hilltoppers for their love and care until her passing. She will be buried in Rhea Co., TN in the Spence Family Cemetery.
