Lewis “Lew” R. Samuels, age 67, of Crossville, TN, formerly of North Aurora, IL, was born on September 21, 1951 in Chicago, IL and passed away on September 17, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Marian Samuels; his daughter, Meg Samuels; son, Rob Samuels; his stepchildren, Teresa Delis (Michael), Frank Polyak, and Steven Polyak (Jessica); and seven grandchildren.

Lew served for 42 years as a Lieutenant Police Officer from August 1973 to April 2014 for the Union Pacific Railroad in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed the peace and serenity of being outdoors, you could find him breathing in the fresh air while fishing, boating, and camping. He was a part the Fairfield Glade Sportsman Club. Lew and his wife, Marian, enjoyed traveling and finding Lighthouses everywhere they traveled. Photography was a passion as he documented his memories throughout the vibrant life he had lived. Many friends and family, including his Simple Life Church family, will miss him and his zeal for life.

A celebration of life for Lew will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Crossville Train Depot (169 N. Main St. Crossville, TN) from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
