James Uyles Cobb, “Bud,” age 84, was born on September 19, 1934 and passed from this life on August 8, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jeane Hammons Cobb; daughter, Debbie Cross and husband, William; sons, Lyle Cobb and wife, Angie, and Tony Cobb and wife, Jerrie; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and brothers, William Freddie Cobb and Comer C. Cobb.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie O. Cobb and Anna Mae Fender; sons, Eddie Dean Cobb and Dale Cobb; daughter, Marla Jean Grimsley; granddaughter, Manilla Grimsley; brother, Ricky Don Cobb; and sisters, Rosie Blalock and Barbara Hawkins.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Bud will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Smiths Chapel Church. He will be laid to rest in Smiths Chapel Cemetery.
