Michael Shane Williams

Michael Shane Williams, age 52, passed away July 17 2019. Shane was born October 6 1966 to Dewey & Linda Evans Williams in Loudon County, Tennessee. Shane was the pastor and Founder of the The Place of Refuge Church in Crossville, TN for 17 years.  Shane was a graduate of Lenoir City High School class of 1984.  He continued his education at The University of Tennessee where he was a member of The Pride of the Southland marching band.  Shane was a fun, devoted, loving Husband & Father to Julie and Isabella and nothing meant more to him and brought him any  more joy than his family and friends.  He never met a stranger and was a total pushover for any kid that ask for anything, especially toys and candy.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julie Williams; daughter, Isabella Williams; mother, Linda Williams; father, Dewey Williams; brother, Brandon Williams (Crystal); sister-in-law, Lisa Schrimsher (Jeff); brothers-in-law, Richard Martin (Wendy) and David Martin (Amy); grandmother, Annie Evans; aunt, Sue Wright; father and mother-in-law, Woody and Peggy Martin; Victoria Elliott (niece) Noah Rankin (nephew) Luke Martin ( nephew) Hannah Renee Martin (niece) Hannah Ruth Rankin ( niece ) Joel Martin ( nephew ) Katie Martin ( niece ) Carly Williams ( niece ) John Martin ( nephew ) Kymbal Williams ( niece ) Brystol Williams ( niece )

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewey and Ailene Williams; grandfather, George Evans; and uncle, Roy Wright.

A memorial service for Shane will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 12:00 central time at The Place of Refuge Church, 164 Oak Road Crossville, TN 38555.  Rev. Woody Martin officiating.
