Dear Hrica family: Words can not help me in this time of the loss of my cousin Barbara. I have been having flash backs to all the wonderful times we had at family dinners in NYC at Grandma and Grandpa Hrica’s house. Our father’s were brothers; Michael was my father and Stephen was Barbara’s father. Barbara never let a holiday or occasion pass that she did not send me a beautiful ecard. Of the eight Hrica cousins Barbara was the baby. There were only two girls Barbara and myself and that bond never left us. My love goes out to Michael and Stephen and families. I shall miss her all the days that I have left.

Thinking of Barbara makes me smile. She was the most generous woman I believe I have ever known. We met in Sunday school. As co-teacher of the class, I enjoyed her inquisitive and bold spirit. Working with her on projects, her strength and wisdom made our time together a joy. The world lost a voice and a force for goodness.
