William Wayne Blaylock, “Bill,” age 72, was born on March 5, 1944 to the late Clarence and Vera Lee Smith Blaylock in Scottsboro, AL. He passed away in Crossville, TN on May 7, 2016. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved watching basketball and football games. Bill enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and with family at get-togethers. Scott’s Gulf was his favorite place for hunting ginseng.
Bill is survived by his daughters- Tammie Goodwin (Greg), Lisa Kerley (Lynn), and Tracy Lawson (Bryan) all of Crossville, TN; grandchildren- Tiffany, Dakota, Cierra, Kelsey, Stephanie, Karissa, and Dusty; great grandchildren- Grayton, Harbor Kate, Caden, Braxton, Raven, Jennifer, Austin, and Bella; brothers- Clarence Lee Blaylock of Salome, AZ, Eddie Blaylock, Doug Blaylock, both of Crossville, TN, and Ron Blaylock of Nashville, TN; sisters- Alice Burdett, Donna Misra of Symrna, GA, Edna Burgess, and Annette Sapp.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents- Clarence and Vera Lee Smith Blaylock; wife- Glenda Sue Hassler Blaylock; brother- Kenneth Blaylock; and sisters- Ova Caroline and Rita Burdett.
Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, May 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for Bill will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 10 a.m. with Bro. Randall Dye officiating. He will be laid to rest in Thomas Springs Cemetery.
