  1. Glen and Renee,
Lena was such a jewel, I was so grieved to hear of her passing. I met her when I was 17 and began work at Big K which later merged into Walmart today. I worked with her for many years until she was able to get her citizenship and begin teaching. I have so many happy memories of the time we spent working together there. She was a very kind, generous, compassionate, loving, and beautiful lady that I am so glad I got to meet in this life and to be a dear friend. The last time I saw her was a year ago at the funeral of another dear friend of ours, Jeri Sisco, and she looked so well at that time. There was never a time I saw her that she wasn’t that same sweet and loving friend, she often talked of you both and her dear grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly. And I remember how very much she loved your dad as well. I can still hear her calling him Sweetheart, as she spoke of him, and he was a very fine person as well with a very good sense of humor. I am so very sorry I did not know of her passing until many weeks later when I happened to see a newspaper with her obituary. I just wanted to leave you both with a few verses of comfort from the Bible, which were such a comfort to me when my dad passed on several years ago, John 11:25-26 : Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” She didn’t really die she just changed locations and I am so very happy to know I will see her again some sweet day, but for now she is reunited with your dear dad. She was truly a jewel of a friend to me.
