William Otto Oehlecker “Bill”, age 89, was born on September 6, 1926 to William and Mary Oehlecker in Brooklyn, NY and passed away on March 5, 2016 in Crossville, TN. He was a Glazier working in the glass field. He was a World War II Veteran, served in the Navy, and fought in the Battle of Normandy. Bill enjoyed fishing in his spare time. The Veterans Honor Guard, the Patriot Guard, and the Sons of Liberty Riders will all be represented at his funeral.
He is survived by his wife- Nancy Oehlecker; son- William Oehlecker (Ginger); step children- Kevin, Steve, and Cathy; grandchildren- Michelle, Joseph, Amanda, and Amber; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents- William Burt Oehlecker and Mary Papp Oehlecker and sister- Dorothy Oehlecker.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, from 12 to 2 with service to follow at 2. George Willis and Ed Louis will officiate. He will be buried in Knoxville Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
