Jean Geneva Larabee (Kokoruda), age 88, died February 4, 2016 in Fairfield Glade, TN. She was the daughter of John and Antoinette (Voda) Kokoruda. She was the wife of the late Keith Larabee for 61 years, and the sister of the late Terry Kokoruda of Ohio, and brother John Kokoruda of Virginia.

Surviving relatives include daughters, Jill (David) Moore of Georgia, and Beth (Rick) Poynter of Tennessee, grandchildren Chelsea Telfer, Dan McClain, and Cody McClain.

Jean was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Pittsburgh (Oakland), until her junior year of high school. She moved to Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio State University in 1950 with a B.S. degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in Ohio, Illinois, and Tennessee, where she enjoyed diverse aspects of her chosen profession. She retired in 1995. A private family service will be held at a later date in Columbus, Ohio. There will be no service locally.
