Mr. William R. Gleason, III, age 74, formerly of Nashville, was escorted by God’s Angels to his Eternal Heavenly Abode on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Bill bravely endured months of complications with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 29 at Central Baptist Church in Crossville, TN with Pastors Roland Smith and Billy Kemp officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M.
Son of the late William R. Gleason, Jr. and Mallie Goodman Gleason, Bill was born August 9, 1937. He was employed by Ford Glass Plant for forty years. Bill and his wife, Joyce, resided in Crossville for the past twelve years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. An avid golfer, Bill played in several leagues at Lake Tansi.
Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Joyce M. Gleason; sons Gregory Gleason of Franklin and Craig Gleason of Nashville, TN; Daughter Angela Jackson of Kingston Springs, TN; brother Wayne Gleason, Hendersonville, TN; sister Barbara Thomas of Crossville.
Granddaughters Lauren Hardy, Samantha Gleason of S. Fulton, TN; Sydney Gleason, Franklin, TN; Kaylin Jackson, Kingston Springs; grandson Zachary Gleason, Nashville, TN; step-daughter Cheryl Peach, step-grandsons Robert Greene, Timothy Greene, all of Charleston, SC; nieces and nephews.
