Linwood Earl Barber, age 76, was born on April 8, 1939 in Goldsboro, NC to the late Lynn Barber and Bessie Long Barber and passed away in Crossville, TN on August 23, 2015.
He is survived by his son Ricky Earl Barber Sr. (Jan), daughters Lisa Thompson (Ray), Regina Barber, and Daphne Bice (Greg), grandchildren, Kelly Barber, Sandy Corbett, Ricky Earl Barber Jr., Shaun Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Amber Corbett, Cheyenne Boyd, and Courtney Bice, nine great grandchildren, and sister Mildred Smith.
Linwood was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lynn Eugene Barber Jr., and sisters Margaret Heath and Nina Parrish.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5 to 8 at Winesap Freewill Baptist Church in Crossville, TN. The funeral service will be on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Winesap Freewill Baptist Church in Crossville, TN at 1:00 with Pastor Rudy Oakes officiating.
Linwood will be laid to rest at his home at 1775 Christian Road in Crossville, TN.
My Daddy has earned his wings, he has his new health body and is watching over my from heaven. He is my new guardian Angel. You are loved today, tomorrow, and for eternity as well as missed the same. The day that God called you home every piece on my body hurt with pain any my heart was broken so…If I could have you back here in the pain and struggles you were in I would say no stay were you are Daddy. I know today you are well, walking the streets of gold, visiting with family & friends that has gone before you, and eating all that good food there that you could no longer enjoy here. Daddy you spread your wings you have ran your race here, enjoy the peace, love, and joy that you have there, keep a space for me because it want be long I will see you again. Until then I want you to know I will miss you and my love for you will always be…..
