Thurman Jones Jr. age 81, was born on November 8, 1933 in Murfreesboro, TN to Thurman Jones Sr. and Mildred Dillon Jones and passed away on August 15, 2015 at Wharton Nursing Home in Pleasant Hill, TN. He worked for Turnerday and Woolworth Handle Co. for 48 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved his church, riding his motorcycle, camping, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife- Pauline Dunbar Jones; sons- Richard Jones and Darrell Jones (Nancy) of Crossville, TN; daughter-in-law- Kathi Jones of Pikeville, TN; step-son- James Dunbar (Pam) of Crossville, TN; grandchildren- Adam Jones, Deborah Bilbrey (Ryan), Rachel Burchett (Brandon); step-grandson- Tyler Dunbar (Annalee); great grandchildren- Joshua, Courtney, Cassidy, Caitlyn, and Caylee Bilbrey, and Evey Burchett; sisters- Frances Smotherman (James) and family of Bell Buckle, TN, Judy Liperteri (Butch) and family of Murfreesboro, TN, Lula Mae Glover (Billy) and family of Pulaski, TN, and Faye Stubblefield and family of Greenbriar, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife- Jean Tabor Jones; son- Greg Jones; brother- Charles Edgar Jones; and brother-in-law- Harold Stubblefield.

Funeral services were held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on August 17,2015 with Bro. Eddie Davis officiating. Interment was in Crossville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Billy Martin, Ray Bowman, Doug Stubblefield, Jeff Glover, Keith Glover, Ikey Smotherman, Ricky Glover, Brent Glover, and Butch Liperteri.
