Andrew J. “Jack” Tyler, 84, formerly of Columbus, GA, passed away on October 13, 2011.  Family will receive friends on Sun., Oct. 16, 2011 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.  A graveside service will be held on Mon., Oct. 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Johnny Brock officiating.  Burial will be in the Parkhill cemetery. 

Born on Nov. 1, 1926, he was a WWII veteran and retired grocer. 

He is survived by his wife, Waltraud Shannon Tyler, 2 sons, John W. & James E. Shannon of TN, 4 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter of Columbus, GA, 2 brothers Billy J. & E.E. Tyler of Columbus, GA, a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.
