James Jerome Toomey “Jerry”, age 76, was born on October 10, 1938 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Erwin and Elma Toomey and passed away March 6, 2015 in Crossville. He was an analyst for Ford Motor Company and also served in the Army. He enjoyed golfing and was in the Grady Group Golf League. He was a Starter Ranger for Druid Hills. He ushered at the Cumberland County Playhouse and in earlier years at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. Although he enjoyed travelling, he recently found going on cruises was particularly high on his list.

He is survived by his wife- Karen Tighe Toomey; sons- Jim Toomey and Jeff Toomey (Tina); daughter- Julie Yeskie (Chris); grandchildren- Kristin, Nicholas, Nathan, Katelyn, and Rachel; brother-Don Toomey; sister-Ileen Houser; and dog- Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents- Erwin Toomey and Elma Frantz Toomey; brothers- Jack and Bob Toomey; and sister- Rosemary Dunn.

The funeral service will take place at Christ Lutheran Church in Fairfield Glade, TN on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Doug MaGinn officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Yeskie, Jim Toomey, Nathan Yeskie, Nick Toomey, Jeff Toomey, and Vince Jozwiak.
