George Albert Harris, 77, of Crossville, TN passed away on February 15, 2015. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00  on Friday, February 27, at Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church located in the Anderson community of Overton County, TN. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with burial in Phillips Cemetery.  Bro. Danny Allen and Tommy Harris will be officiating.

George was born on June 2, 1937 in Overton County, TN to Loyd Foster and Lydia C. Sisco Harris.  He is survived by children: Gary Melton,  Tim Harris (Brenda), Victoria Lou Carmack (Bill), Gloria Sue Kilgore (Ernest), Loretta Davis (Ronnie), and Marie Colon (Chuck); grandchildren: Bobby Harris, Laura Larue, Nicole Hutson, Daniel Newsome,Jr., Danielle Newsome, Blessing Newsome, Charity Newsome, Destiny Newsome, Brent Woody, Josh Clark, Jessica Clark, Angel Potter, Cody Potter, Kevin Davis, Ryan Davis, Kristen Davis, Tony Davis, Bud Colon, and Robert Colon; step grandchildren; brother: Hollis Harris (Pat); sisters: Bonnie Pierce, Genevieve Stouder, Emma Lou Tinch, and Reba Pierce (Doyle). George was preceded in death by parents: Loyd and Lydia Harris; wife: Maxine Harris, daughter: Jeanette Harris; grandsons: Charles Harris, Billy Harris, and Jacob Clark.
