Junior of Crossville, TN was born October 17, 1926 and died October 8, 2011. He was 84. At 18 he served in the Army. He worked in timber but most of his work life was spent at H&R Slaughtering and started there in the 70’s when they opened. In his younger years he liked hunting and fishing and with a growing family, gardening became his passion. He loved to grow food for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Bow Sullivan of Crossville; son, Michael Lynn Sullivan of Pikeville; three grandchildren, Holly Jernagin and Anthony of Stevenson, AL, Laura Sullivan of Stevenson, AL, and Brian Sullivan and LeAnn of Bridgeport, AL; and five great grandchildren. He has two brothers: Fred Sullivan of Dayton, OH and MNenzo Sullivan of Miami, FL. He has two sisters, Elizabeth York and Daisy Brown, both of Crossville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Sullivan Sr. and Betty Hayes Sullivan; his brothers, James and Milford Sullivan; and sisters, Ruby Gang, Pearl Hugett and Jewel Hancock.
His services will be on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 with services to follow. Burial will be in the Crossville City Cemetery.
