Patman Wright Cooper, age 79, was born on June 15, 1935 to Alexander and Ava Cooper in Fentress County, Tennessee and passed away on September 27, 2014 in Crossville, Tennessee. He was a local barber, cutting the hair of many people over the years. He loved to work! He enjoyed gardening, but could be found in his latter years hanging out with his dog, Rachel.

He is survived by his wife- Lynn Cox Cooper; daughters- Ava Darlene Coffey (Thomas) and Carolyn Annettee Childers (Greg); two grandchildren- Frances Olivia Childers and Gerald Cooper Childers; brothers- Claude “Bud” Cooper and Clue David Cooper; and sister- Mabel Irene Guffey.

He was preceded in death by his parents- Alexander Cooper and Ava Turner Cooper; brother- Carver Shannon Cooper; and sister- Veachel Linder.

The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, September 28, 2014, from 5 to 7. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday the 29th at 10:00 am with Bro. Marvin Orewiler and Bro. Ray Savage officiating. The burial will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 10:00 am in Tollett’s Chapel Cemetery.
