Alene Lewis, age 72, was born March 31, 1942 in Bryson City, NC to Thomas and Laura Johnson and passed away August 22, 2014 in Crossville, TN. She was a housewife that enjoyed gardening, remodeling her own house, and making crafts.

She is survived by her son- John Albert Weiler; daughters- Michelle Louise Gibbs and Stephanie Dainelle Cunningham; grandchildren- Eleashea, Jessica, Samantha, Joseph, Laura, John Michael, Ricky, Michael, and Josh; great grandchildren- Kristen, Henry, Tyler, David, Lorvana, Billy, Patience, Race, Brielle, and Michael; one great great grandchild; brother- William Earl “Bill” Johnson; and sisters- Bernice Jones, Venice Collins, Ora Blanche Ashburn, and Clara Bell Hubbard.

She was preceded In Death by her parents-Thomas Waitsel Johnson and Laura Bell Carson Johnson; husband- Jerome Johnson; son- William Richard Weiler; daughter- Laura Ann Weiler Arredondo; brothers- Arville, Arnold, and Winfred Johnson; and sisters- Joyce Johnson, Margie Lance, and Mattie Sherril.

The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, August 25, 2014, from 1 to 2 pm with the service to follow. Bro. Ralph Reagan will officiate.
