Roy Allen Vaughan, age 77, was born April 10, 1934 in Huntington, West Virginia and died on Sept. 30, 2011 in Crossville, TN. He was a tradesman working mainly as an electrician and in his spare time enjoyed working with his hands creating objects of beauty out of wood. His woodworking skills consisted of cabinetmaking and constructing beautiful furniture. He was an artist drawing pictures on wood and using the woodburning technique as his medium.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Vaughan; two sons, Robert Allen Vaughan (Nancy) and Tommy Ernest Vaughan; three grandchildren, Tammy, Beth and Shawn; and five great grandchildren all from Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tony and Gertrude (Eskew) Vaughan, brothers, Leo Vaughan and Donald Eskew and a sister who died when she was very young.
Roy’s cremains will be scattered in Huntington, West Virginia in the Spring.
