David Franklin King, 72, Crossville, TN passed away on April 18, 2014 at his home. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 21 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 22, at 2:00 pm with Donald Whattenbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Tolletts Chapel Cemetery.

David was born on June 10, 1941 in Greenback, TN to James Madison and Beaulah Berry King. He loved watching his grandchildren race and play football; he enjoyed old fast cars.

David is survived by: son: Jerry King; daughters: Tammy Adams (Tim), and Brittany King; grandchildren: Nick Adams (Tracy), and Nathan Adams (Amber); great grandchildren: Chevy Wayne Adams, and Sadie Marie Adams; special caregiver: Alanah Selby.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Harry, Thomas, and James King; sisters: Carrie Lee Boggs, Pearl Whittenburg, and Minnie Ann King.
