Virginia Fern Leland, age 91, was born on July 30, 1921 in New Berlinville, PA. She died on Sept. 13, 2011 at Wyndridge Nursing Home and Rehab in Crossville, TN. Virginia Clouser graduated from Boyertown High School in Boyertown, PA in 1940. She worked on an assembly line in a casket factory putting the lining in the caskets. She was a woman strong in her faith, and met John A. Leland Sr., an evangelist. And after ordering some of his literature, they began writing letters back and forth for the next year. He was so struck with her handwriting that they married June 9, 1969 and lived the next 26 years happily together. She enjoyed sewing in her younger years. She had a strong relationship with her niece, Donna, and treated her as her own. They spent many wonderful shopping trips together searching for just the right item to buy and enjoying every moment. Virginia Leland is survived by: Adoring Niece: Donna J. Jones and Richard of Pottstown, PA; Nephew: David N. Quigg and Kathy of Douglasville, PA; Grand nieces and nephews: Tami and Bill Scheetz of PA, Barbara Schueck of PA, Christi and Josh Engle of MD, Todd Jones of PA, Eric Quigg and Sheila of MI, Brian Quigg of PA, and Stephanie Quigg of PA. Preceded In Death By: Husband- John A. Leland; Parents- William Henry and Alice Edinger Clouser; and Sister- M Arlene Quigg.
