Edward Marvin Blumenfeld

Edward Marvin Blumenfeld, 86, of Pleasant Hill, TN, died December 19, 2013. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 23, 1927. He held a Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll College and graduate degrees in Divinity from Hartford Theological Seminary and Northwestern University. He was married to Flora Elizabeth Merriam Blumenfeld (d. 1977) and is survived by his wife Faith Ann Marsh Blumenfeld. 
He served in the US Army and Navy, worked for 40 years as a minister for the United Church of Christ, served as President of Rotary and Optimists clubs and volunteered to feed the poor. Ed pursued a wide range of interests including coin collecting, word puzzle creation, photography and travel. He wrote poems and hymns. Ed also is survived by a brother M. Eugene Blumenfeld, sons Lawrence and Philip Blumenfeld, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Interment will be at Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana, KY. A memorial service is planned for the spring of 2014. Please send donations in lieu of flowers to the American Lung Association.
