Gene Troy Kearbey, age 83, was born on Dec. 29, 1927 in Poplar Bluff, MO and died at Cumberland Medical Center on Sept. 11, 2011. He worked as a carpenter in heavy construction. He was in the Navy and fought in World War II enlisting in 1943 and serving for 6 years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Titans play and loved going to the ocean. He loved to spend time with his family, grilling for them and working in the yard.

He is survived by his wife, Frances B. Kearbey, several children, 6 grand children, and 5 great grandchildren. There will be no services but donations given in his name to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy Lafayette and Beulah Revelle Kearbey.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. will be in charge of the arrangements.
