Betty Jean Hoover

Betty Jean Hoover, age 87, was born on November 18, 1925 to Clyde and Mary Alice Salts in Columbus, Ohio and passed away on October 4, 2013 in Crossville, TN. She was a transcriber in the word processing business. She played in the Pleasant Hill UCC Bell Choir. Betty loved her four children. She loved her hobbies of sewing and crocheting. She was very active in the local Toys For Children every Christmas.  Also, Betty Jean Hoover was the driving force, right hand, and companion of her husband and local well known artist, R. J. Hoover, whose paintings are located in businesses and homes all over Crossville.

She is survived by her husband- Robert Jamin Hoover; sons- Eric Douglas Hoover and “Pandy”, Mark Gregory Hoover and Mary, Keith David Hoover and Mary; daughter-in-law- Jan Hoover; grandchildren- Sara, Zachary, Ashley, Benjamin, Kelsey, Jenna, Molly, Alison, and Andrew; and great grandchild- Ella Rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents- Clyde Salts and Mary Alice Donough Salts; and son- Steven Robert Hoover.

The family will have a Celebration of LIfe at Fletcher House Adshead Hall on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 11:00 AM.
