Carlos Franklin Bertram, 75, of Sparta, TN passed away on October 4, 2013 at Cumberland Medical Center. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with burial in Bolin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Davis, Cade Rector, Paul Wyatt, Mitchell Downs, Owen Caruthers, Chris Rector, and Casey Rector.

Carlos was born on June 5, 1938 in Crossville, TN to William Bates and Daisy Dilly Burgess Bertram. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding horses, gardening, and loved animals.

Carlos is survived by; son: Dallas Wayne Bertram, daughters: Tammy McGee (Samuel John), Donna Sue Downs, Edie Rector (Mike); grandchildren: Mitchell Downs, Casey & Chris Rector, Cade Rector, Amanda Burgess, and Jade Rector; great grandchildren: Izzie Jane Rector, Mya Jade Cox; brothers: Bill Bertram, and Dallas Bertram; sisters: Ethel Blaylock, Effie Crawford, and Mary Lewis.

He was preceded in death by parents: William Bates and Daisy Dilly Burgess Bertram; wife: Jewel Dean; brothers: Roy, Grady, Howard Lee, Thomas Dale Bertram. sister: Irma Perry; grandson: Michael Jory Rector.
